History

The area was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1995 to conserve its unique Himalayan ecosystem and protect its rich biodiversity. The sanctuary forms part of the larger ecological landscape of the Eastern Himalayas, one of the world's biodiversity hotspots. Due to its remote terrain and limited human disturbance, Talle Valley has preserved its natural forests and wildlife habitats. Today, it remains an important conservation area of Arunachal Pradesh, promoting biodiversity protection while showcasing the traditional environmental practices of local communities.
